Exploring a deeply personal and taboo topic of Judaism, SACRED SPERM is a sensitive and serious-minded examination of one of the most important prohibitions in the ultra-Orthodox community.

According to the Talmud, male self-pleasure is forbidden, ... FULL STORY AT LINK

When I saw an ad for this film, I thought it was a satire put together by our Rebbe Jake.

Especially as the film poster is of a man in Orthodox dress, creepily drawing a young boy close to him, while the text says that is the first in-depth journey into "one of Judaism's biggest taboos."

I recalled the recent pedophillia scandals at a Hassidic school in Melbourne, Australia. However, it is nothing like that. It is about ... the prohibition on male masturbation.

You mean bubelehs don't masterbate? Why do they make all that porn?

Of course it's BS. Jews go by their maternal bloodline.

Talmud & "Torah" have an absurdly lengthy list of prohibitions but for Jews "rules are made to be broken". Only rule actually enforced is that against being a "moser" (snitch). Rabbi Freundel (mikvah spycam guy) got fired but only after mass public attention.

No, I think jews have other rules they strictly adhere to, like not interfering with, or calling out, another jew's lying/scamming (e.g., holohoaxing).

Sure but to me those would also lie under the moser/no snitching rule. Jews are famous for Kosher laws but who obeys them? In Rockville MD area a big Orthodox population yet even there only a tiny handful of businesses catering to strict Kosher eaters.

The old hebes went by the Torah, but Talmud, which lays down rules on interactions between jew and jew and jew and goy seems to be the more modern yid authority. Yids are typically the sickos.

BTW was reading an article this week where some major Jew (Russian or Ukrainian IIRC) referred to Jews as "Yids". Kinda surprising since I had always thought it was a negative word. But maybe for Jews it's like Blacks calling each other "Nigga".

When jew bloggers call me a yiddish name, like Putz or something, my reply is "translation?"  I never get any further dialog.  Jews don't like to talk about the mystery of the yiddish language (no, it's origin is not high German).

Once saw some non-fiction tv show about a shiksa that was dating a Jew boy. Girl was with him to meet his parents & casually used the word "schmuck" since she had heard Jews say it often. She thought a little Yiddish would endear his folks to her but they thought it non-classy.

A recent article considered language trends & noted that Yiddish is not exactly dying: although little Yiddish literature is produced there's still a significant # of speakers. On some of the Orthodox-type blogs one see significant usage of Yiddish phrases & words. I know you've posted before on Yiddish origin but I've sort of forgot your theory...if you care to elaborate.

My theory on yiddish is we need to know it's true origin (alien?).  Structurally it is different.  It just pops up and doesn't follow typical etymological flow.  Of course, jews will say it does, move on, nothing to see here.
