Ukraine’s American Finance Minister, Natalie Jaresko, calls on Russia to act in “good faith” and take a haircut on its loans to Ukraine

In an interview with the Wall Street Journal, Ukraine’s American Finance Minister Natalie Jaresko, said that the financial support promised by the International Monetary Fund to Ukraine for restoration of the national economy won’t be enough. She calls on Russia to take a haircut.

The US installed Finance Minister of Ukraine’s nazi government (yes it’s as bizarre as it sounds) is not only asking for more money, on top of the just approved $17.5 billion, but she actually is asking Russia to act in “good faith” and take a significant haircut on its $3 billion bonds.
In Jaresko’s reality, you can bomb and kill ethnic Russians in East Ukraine, ridicule and demonise Russian leaders, and instigate racist hate propaganda against Russian citizens, while at the same time asking the Russian Federation to take a massive cut on its loans to Ukraine in order to help the US/EU illegal putsch government stay afloat…so they can continue their war on the Donbass.
$5 billion has already been given to Ukraine from the IMF.
Jaresko will use that money to increase the share of military expenditure in GDP from 1.25 to 5.2 percent and spend $3.8 billion on armaments orders going to…you guessed, US companies like ‘Network Technologies Corporation’.
Makes perfect sense.
ITAR TASS Reports…
Quote :
The minister said the approved loan is enough for stabilizing the banking system but not to regain economic growth. The IMF board last week approved financial assistance to Ukraine ammounting to $17.5 billion, the first tranche ammounting to $5 billion. Besides, according to Jaresko, Ukraine is expected to get other countries’ assistance in the ammount of $7.5 billion.
Russia Insider reports…
Quote :
Finance minister Natalie Jaresko last week held a conference call with creditors setting out the government’s position. She said Kiev was looking for about $15bn of debt relief and warned that this could include principal reductions on the face value of its bonds, in addition to lower interest payments and extended repayment schedules.
Negotiations are likely to be combative. A person close to the talks said the bondholder group was unwilling to accept outright haircuts, and believed the targeted debt relief was too high.
Russia will be another big hurdle. The country is owed $3bn by Ukraine through a bond issued as part of a bailout for the pro-Moscow government that was ousted last year. Russia has indicated that it is unwilling to restructure the debt.
In last week’s conference call Ms Jaresko stressed there would be no special treatment for any creditors, including Russia. “We invite the holders of the Russian bonds as well as all of our other eurobonds to participate in this process on the basis of transparency, good faith and inter-creditor equity,” she said.

"I am sure that despite all the current difficulties the situation in Ukraine will improve and Ukraine will develop," Putin said in televised comments during a meeting with local officials.
"It will leave behind this shameful practice... that is placing the whole of a huge European country under external control with key positions in the government and regions filled by foreign citizens."
"I think this is humiliating for the Ukrainian people," the Kremlin strongman said.
